Over the weekend Paul and I were discussing how this winter has been more than just cold. Our nostrils are sick of sticking together and our faces have never been so dry.

At work and with friends it seems we’re all on the same page. It’s FREEZING! And we’re done with it.

Well, it looks like we haven’t been complaining for nothing. February was the coldest month in recorded history in Montreal. Thank goodness it’s over.

I was busy in the kitchen though! My favorite recipe that I made was my Toasted Oat and Honey Waffles. Apparently I need to create more waffle recipes with oats…they’re so tasty!

I also baked and cooked a lot from other blogs this month as well. Below are the ones I made and loved!

One Pot Mac and Cheese by Elly Says Opa
Crock Pot Chickpea, Butternut Squash and Red Lentil Stew by Eat Live Run
Triple Threat Chocolate Fudge Peanut Butter Cookies by How Sweet It Is
Mediterranean Orzo Salad by The Pioneer Woman
Blueberry Lemon Dutch Baby by Hungry Girl Por Vida
Mushroom Pasta with Goats Cheese by Pinch of Yum
Chai Spice Cinnamon Rolls by The Baker Chick

I made a new blog discovery again too! This time it’s The Kate Tin, where you can find a ton of gorgeous sweet treats (that are bonkers creative)! This salted caramel coma cake is pretty much the best.

Other February Stuff?

I FINALLY threw an engagement party for my bestie! I made salted caramel popcorn and told you all about my life long lady love.

Classic Caramel Corn

Because of the aforementioned cold, I’ve been watching a lot of t.v and movies.
-Seasons 2 and 3 of American Horror Story
-Season 1 of Felicity…not kidding.
-Annnnnd more Oscar nominations…mostly the documentaries and foreign films (we watched a lot of the best picture and best actor noms in January).

The new Dear Sugar podcast is great so far! I love Cheryl Strayed, so it’s fun to hear her talk about her life and give love advice. Of course, when it comes to relationship advice the Savage Lovecast is forever my favorite, but Dear Sugar is a wonderful addition to my long podcast listening list.

I just finished the new Lena Dunham book “Not That Kind of Girl“. It’s a hoot!!

That’s all for now. It’s Maaaaaaaaaarch and there is more sunshine coming.
