Apparently we’re changing the clocks again this Sunday WHICH MEANS!! that Spring is on its way! I must say that it’s taking its sweet ass time (as in, it’s freaking freezing outside), but you know? Baby steps.

This winter seems long. I love winter for the skiing, snowshoeing, and skating, but I’ve done those things already, I’m cold, and I want to start making fancy margaritas in a grass skirt (I’ve never warn a grass skirt, but it totally seems necessary) and am CRAVING more produce variety. Like, in a major bad way. Honestly, I just want to eat my salad without feeling a chill after. COMMON!

On a happier note, a few fun things happened this month. I got a new job (!!!) that starts in May, I bought a wedding dress, and got a ton of other wedding-related things sorted out which is a HUGE weight off of my shoulders. Just so you know, I’ve decided on wedding pie, not cake. I’m a pie girl through and through.

February was a solid food month and I just can’t pick a favorite recipe. Soooooo check out my maple pecan pie bars AND my blueberry yeasted waffles. Holy shizzle.

Blueberry Yeasted Waffles // Warm Vanilla Sugar

I also made a couple things from other food bloggers. You definitely should try making:
Portobello Fried Rice by How Sweet It Is
Homemade Roasted Almond Butter by Edible Perspective (hands down the best I’ve ever had)

OH! And I found a new blog, which is my favorite thing to do ever! Check out Beard and Bonnet for her absolutely fantastic looking recipes. This meyer lemon poppy seed quick bread totally lured me in. Yes, please!

Other February Stuff?
-Holy Television. I BLEW through season 2 of House of Cards (amazing), season 1 of Two Broke Girls (still deciding if I’m into it), and am finally caught up on Girls season 3 AND The Walking Dead. What should I watch noooooooooow?
-I’m still in the “books to read before they come out in theatres book club”. We have read and discussed The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and Labor Day by Joyce Maynard so far. Both good! Still haven’t seen either movie though. For our next meeting we are reading A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby – it’s freaking funny so far!.

Before I go, I want to eat this and this every day. And this, of course, let’s be real.

That’s all folks. Have a great March!! xo
